Arms are covered by the Rerebrace
at the top of the arm,
the Couters at the elbows and the
Vambraceon the forearm
( just visible under the Gauntlet).
These can be three pieces that are assembled on the arming doublet
and at the elbow using laces, or articulated like the knees, to make the whole assembly stronger. The popular design for English armour
has the three piece laced arrangement.
